I’ll say that the Naturepedic experience isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. You also have to be mindful of the fact that firmness and softness are mostly determined by price when you’re going with one of its products.
Organic wool provides natural moisture-wicking that helps to create a naturally cool sleep experience without complicating things with any sort of fancy cooling technology.
In addition, organic wool is what helps to give the mattress a nice bit of bounce.
The use of organic cotton over coils is probably the smartest aspect of its design. This creates a very breathable method of support that delivers what is going to feel like the perfect amount of sturdiness for most sleepers.

The truth is that this company might not be for you if your motivation when mattress shopping solely revolves around paying as little as possible.
Let’s get specific about prices. Here’s a look at what Naturepedic mattress models are retailing for right now:

- The Serenade: $1,400 and up.
- The EOS: $2,999 and up.
- The Halcyon Azure: $2,999 and up.
- The Halcyon Arcadia: $3,999 and up.
- The Halcyon Elysium: $4,999 and up.
Keep in mind that the price can get steep once you start looking at king size and larger in premium models. For instance, an upper-tier king mattress within the Halcyon collection can come in at just under $10,000.
The good news is that there’s really a lot of range within the Naturepedic family to allow you to get an organic, artisan mattress for well under $2,000 if you’re okay with skipping some bells and whistles.
Naturepedic does also offer mattresses sized for babies and kids. Twin mattresses for kids range from about $699 to $899. Crib mattresses go for as low as $259. Yes, these mattresses are more expensive than what you’d probably be able to scoop up at a big-box store.
However, the extra cost is simply going to be worth it if you have concerns about placing a baby or child on a mattress with synthetic materials and chemicals.
The bottom line on price with a Naturepedic is that the base models are pretty much in line with other mid-quality to high-quality mattresses. Luxury models in larger sizes far exceed the average cost for a luxury mattress.
Is a Naturepedic Worth It?
What’s the verdict on paying a little extra for a Naturepedic if you want an organic mattress? The answer is to go for it if your goal is to truly get a high-quality, supportive mattress that’s fully organic. You may have to do a cost-to-comfort comparison if you typically like softer mattresses with more layers.
It is worth it if the following are important to you:
- Industry leading number of certifications.
- Healthy and allergy-free.
- Pocketed coils. The 8″ pocketed coils are in all models except Trilux and provide very good motion isolation and improved airflow.
- Wide selection with six models.
- Very responsive foam that pops back into shape instantly.
- Sleeps cool. Not the coolest on the market, but pretty decent even for hot sleepers.
That’s because the cheaper Naturepedic models tend to be much thinner than competing models in the same price range. You will be getting a “firmer” sleep experience with lower-tier models because you’re much closer to the firm support layer. My takeaway impression? The real winner here is someone who is looking for a fully organic firm mattress. However, there are some negatives.
