Bed Dimensions in Feet: Make Sure You Know Before You Buy

Bed dimensions in feet averages are: queen size is 5′ x 6.83′ (60″ x 82″) = 33.4 square feet, king 6.3′ x 6.83 (75.6″x82″) = 42.2 sqft, twin 3.17′ x 6.25 (38″ x 75″) = 19.6 sqft, and full 4.5′ x 6.25′ (54″ x 75″) = 28.1 sqft

It is important to know this information when shopping for a new mattress as there are sometimes odd sizes being sold. This can be due to manufacturers working in metric and imperial units as manufacturing takes place in countries all around the world.

And I have found even just a 0.5″ difference in measurements can make some OCD customers INSANELY UPSET! I guess they must have a pretty good life if that is what they have to complain about.

TIP: Make sure to measure your bed frame before purchasing a new model to make sure it will fit. The below are measurements MOST often found in stores and online.

For 9 sizes and models bigger than a king please see my information here, 4 giant and world’s largest here, if yours is too big for your mattress fix it easy with these tips, and check average bedroom sizes to help match your bed size here.
